Oh come on…

With that headline you’re just baiting.

The team is what theyve been for the past couple years. A great top 6 scoring team. Terrible defence. The goaltending like last year has been above average. Coach is a moron and Gm is an old fool.

Nash has also refused to play for the oilers in the past so maybe the history is why they wouldn’t want to claim him? Perlini, Ryan, Foegle were supposedly the fix for the bottom 6 but so far it’s been a massive failure.

Edmonton has the two best players In the universe and not much after that, And just a reminder, The playoffs are quite different from the regular season.

But no. There is nothing wrong with their top 6. It's their defense and bottom 6.

They have a solid top 6. Puljujarvi, Nugent-Hopkins and Hyman would all be top 6 players on every other team. Yamamoto could easily be a middle six on most teams.

The issue is the bottom six. McLeod and Fogele are solid players... It ends after that. Derek Ryan has an even strength goal share of 3-16 (3 goals while on ice, 16 goals against).

Kassian has become an anchor, I don't even remember the rest of the bottom 6.

Losing all three starting LD doesn't help either, glad Nurse is back. The right side is still a mess.

Tenders have been fine.

Edmonton Is actually a pedestrian team with the two greatest athletes I have ever seen In my lifetime in a little over 50 years In any sport, Now here Is the question, Does Edmonton have the stone's to trade Draisaitl to make them a legitimate contender?

Don’t need to trade Drai. Just need competent management and coaching to fill a team around McDrai and keep them on their own lines 95% of the time.

Kind of a strange game with not much checking the 1st 2 periods and no net front presence from either team the whole game. The Oilers got a lot of shots but the Wild kept everything to the outside. Wonder if the Oilers would get more out of the bottom 6 by moving someone from top 6 down. Hyman maybe.

3 game losing streak and 5-5 in last 10.

That’s what the oilers can expect if goaltending isn’t stellar.

Forbes says they were miscalculating the oilers revenue and now value the team at 1.1 billion?? What a joke.

Yay no more Russell for "some time". and hopefully no more Kieth for "some time" and they find a suitable replacement in the meantime.

Another game without any 5 on 5 scoring. That’s a winning formula.

But they’re a good team just playing bad…

I’m no fan of Spec but this article basically repeating what I’ve said about this team for the last two years.

Lol. I’ve been saying it for longer but most on here get mad at me for pointing it out all the time.
